How do I create a task from an email?

An email contains action items and you want them in the Tasks workspace.

  1. Step 1 — Open the message

    Reader toolbar shows a create-task action.

  2. Step 2 — Click create task

    Confirm defaults in the dialog if shown. The task is linked to context from the mail when supported.

  3. Step 3 — Switch to Tasks rail

    Open the Tasks workspace to edit due dates or move between segments (My Day, Important, etc.).
