How do I add my first mailbox?
You installed the app but no mailbox is configured yet — you need the add-account flow.
- Step 1 — Open “Add account”
On the welcome screen, click Add an email account. If you already dismissed the welcome view, click the + button at the bottom of the left rail.
- Step 2 — Enter your address
Type your full email address. The wizard chooses Microsoft / Google OAuth vs IMAP based on the domain.
- Step 3 — Complete provider-specific steps
For OAuth, finish sign-in in the browser. For IMAP, fill incoming/outgoing servers and credentials; secrets are stored with Windows DPAPI on this PC.
- Step 4 — Wait for first sync
After the account is added, the app syncs folders automatically. If something fails, see the red status under the account or open Connection diagnostics from the account context menu.
