How can AI reply using MY thoughts (gist / outline)?

You already know what to say (bullets, mixed Chinese/English notes) and want the model to expand it into a polished reply.

When to use this

Use Polish my gist… (wording in English UI) / 用我的大意润色… (Chinese UI) when you already know what you want to say but need help with tone, structure, or the recipient’s language.

1. Step 1 — Open the secondary menu

   Next to the main AI reply button, click the narrow chevron button. A small menu opens.

2. Step 2 — Choose “Polish my gist…”

   This opens the AI reply dialog instead of immediately generating from the full thread alone.

3. Step 3 — Type your gist

   In the text area labelled for your reply gist, write bullets or rough sentences in any language — mixed Chinese/English is OK. Example: “同意延期到周五；请附上报价 PDF；语气正式。”

4. Step 4 — Pick tone (optional)

   Select tone: match original, formal, friendly, or concise. This steers how the expansion sounds.

5. Step 5 — Generate

   Click Generate reply. The model turns your gist into a full reply aimed at the recipient’s language/context.

6. Step 6 — Edit the draft pane

   The left pane shows the editable reply. Adjust wording, add facts, remove hallucinations.

7. Step 7 — Back-translation (read-only)

   If you enabled cross-language review, the dialog also shows a read-only back-translation so you can sanity-check meaning before inserting into compose.

8. Step 8 — Confirm

   Click Use this reply to open the compose window with the final text. Still review once more before sending.
